I booked an appointment with Daniel Thomson, physiotherapist, after experiencing pain in my hip whilst running. I had a full distance triathlon booked 8 weeks from my first appointment and was concerned that my injury would prevent me from completing the marathon run at the end of the triathlon and all the months of training would be wasted. Daniel identified the issue immediately and explained in detail exercises I should do at home and also things that I should avoid so as not to aggravate it further. I had 2 further appointments with things to do at home in between. The final appointment was 2 weeks prior to the event and after the appointment I felt confident that I could do it. I managed to complete the triathlon with no hip pain at all and can’t thank Daniel enough for his professionalism and expertise in getting me to the start line.
